I’ve now added a “videos” section to the site. You can check it out over to the right. I’ve uploaded some clips from the “P. Lacquers Summer Retreat 2007″ DVD, as well as some other hot vids. I am currently working on editing down some more to hopefully add to the collection. You can also check out the videos here.
Hopefully I’ll have some new music up this week. I’ve been getting suggestions for some bad ass songs to cover, and you can always recommend cover songs by emailing me. lumpy@bryanhighhill.com

January 11th, 2010
Happy belated New Year to you all. Here is my official cheers into the new year:
So many of you have probably heard the new phenomenon that is sweeping bars nation wide. It’s called “SHOTS”. Who Woulda thought? If you haven’t heard it, I’ve included another youtube bootleg below.
As far as I can remember I’ve never heard songwriting as good as in this Hit. It makes Yngwie look like a total asshole ifyaknowhatimsayin. While learning the ins and outs of this composition I really got an exclusive look at how to make millions in the music industry. Based on what I learned, Festive Occasion should have been making millions years ago.
Here’s my cover of the hit song “Shots” by LMFAO feat. Lil Jon using a melodica, drum set, tambourine, trumpet and keyboard

I Guess Humans Move Too Slow
December 9th, 2009
So during my senior year in college I recorded an album under the moniker Bryan Rock called “Crucial Bomb” (thanks to Grant for the titular assistance). I think there might be 20 or so copies of it floating around somewhere… or in a landfill. Either way there was a song on it called “I Guess Humans Move Too Slow”. I re-recorded it and made it better. Here is the brand new version.

Lumpy Covers the Slackers - Who Knows
December 1st, 2009
Hope you all had a fat T day. To help you remedy your turkey/pumpkin/boozy/carbohydrate hangover, I bring to you a new addition to the “Lumpy Covers”. It’s a cover of the Slackers’ song “Who Knows” from their 2003 release “Close My Eyes”. Please notice my brother crooning the silky bass vocals.
If you have any recomendations for future covers send me an email through the contact page
Thank you

Flugelhorn Reggae
November 9th, 2009
So I’ve decided that my second album will be a trumpet album. Musically it will be diverse, but the main voice will be trumpet. It will be a nice change of pace compositionally from this last album. I mainly got the idea because whenever someone that knew me heard I was recording a cd, they would assume it was a trumpet album. This was funny to me, but then I thought that that actually could be really awesome.
I know it may be weird to put up samples of an album that’s not anywhere near completion before I’ve even streamed anything from this premiere album, but you’ll just have to wait a bit. ok.
Here is a flugelhorn reggae piece for the trumpet album. As of now it is untitled

halloween, album done, new piano = new song
November 1st, 2009
Happy halloween to you all. Bar hopping and running amok is always a good time.
I recently obtained a craigs list spinet piano. It’s pretty badass and I figured I would upload the first song I used it in. The song is called “When the Moon Comes Up Today”, which can originally be found on the P. Lacquers album “Awkward Party”. This version is totally different so I’ve included the original on here as well in case you haven’t heard it. That’s Chan Holman singing in the P. Lacquers version, the coolest singer I know. If she was closer I would have definitely had her sing it again.
My album “From Wilderness Cove” is now done. This week I will be sending it a long with the artwork to get pressed, so hopefully I will have physical copies very soon. I’ll stream some album tracks up on here when it’s all set.
Anyways, enjoy the music and thanks for listening.

The premiere Lumpy album, “From Wilderness Cove”, is now in the “mastering” stage and is nearly done… for real. The art work is complete and ready to be sent away to get pressed. So within the next week or 2 it should be out of my hands which is a very nice thought.
Meanwhile, here’s a new reggae song that I’ve just finished.
It was going to be on my second album but I’m starting to think of different plans for the next one. Either way here is some new music that I hope you enjoy.
